Associate product manager

Arbetsbeskrivning

Associate Product Manager (Growth Opportunities - Stockholm, Sweden)
Growth Opportunities (GO) is a Spotify R&D department focused on finding future Spotify listeners. In this role, you will work with teams to make Spotify more available, accessible, and relevant for new audiences worldwide.
We are looking for a creative, entrepreneurial, and impact-focused associate product manager to join our team. The Associate Product Manager role is designed to help new Product Managers build experience and skills. As an APM, you will work on real projects mentored by more experienced product managers, and you're expected to deliver impact from day one.

What you’ll do
You will explore and validate new strategic value propositions that make Spotify the first choice amongst fans, with a focus on audiences in emerging markets. Our main KPI is the number of listeners on the Spotify platform
Work closely with a team of skilled engineers, designers, user researchers and data scientists, and contribute to setting the roadmap for a product or space
Help define the metrics and KPIs for your team and measure how these improve over time
Work closely with stakeholders across the organization and collaborate on the company’s short- and long-term goals
Make sure that your team is constantly doing the right things, and has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support
You may embed one or two quarters during your first year with another team in Spotify to accelerate your growth and broaden your understanding of the Spotify business. Teams and timings to be agreed with your manager.
You will be based in our Stockholm office.

Who you are
You are entrepreneurial, and find feasible ways to validate big and novel ideas. You’re biased towards action and driving impact.
You love learning and building new things.
You are self motivated and have a strong focus on delivery of user value.
You have an interest in Product Management, and at least some experience in Product Development from a complementary field (e.g. engineering, data, design, content, research, consulting, or entrepreneurship). You thrive in high performing, cross functional teams.
You are interested in how products work “under the hood” and are comfortable collaborating and discussing technical approaches and challenges with engineers.
You are driven to get stuff done, but with a collaborative mindset. “You don’t win unless your team wins”.
You are well organized and have great attention to detail.
You learn quickly and can quickly digest and triangulate multiple sources of information.
You are able to take a vision and make it yours by communicating it in your own words.
You can take the same vision and break it down into a strategy that your team buys into
You are an excellent communicator in English, whether it be in words or in writing.
You are open to some amount of travelling for work.

We are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination. We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and background will lead to a better environment for our employees and a better product for our users and our creators. This is something we value deeply and we encourage everyone to come be a part of changing the way the world listens to audio.
