We are looking for an associate senior lecturer in computer science specialising in cyber security for a fixed-term position of 4-‑6 years at the School of Science and Technology.

As part of this initiative, Örebro University is now looking for an associate senior lecturer in cyber security.

Our research is frequently conducted in collaboration with prominent companies as well as the public sector with contributions that are internationally recognized. AASS is also responsible for computer science education at Örebro University which includes undergraduate programs in computer engineering on different levels as well as a graduate programs in computer science with focus on AI and robotics. We also contribute to a number of other undergraduate and graduate programs.
The unit is located on the central campus of Örebro University where a wide range of robotic equipment and lab facilities is available. Örebro is one of the larger cities in the heart of Sweden a two-hour train ride away from Stockholm. A world class orchestra located in Örebro, inspiring exhibitions like the biannual OpenArt festival, beautiful parks, recreation areas and Tiveden national park nearby are just a few examples of what makes Örebro a special place to live in Sweden.
The position comes with an attractive starting package that includes funding for two doctoral student positions.
Duties and responsibilities
During your period of employment as an associate senior lecturer, you are to develop your autonomy as a researcher and acquire further qualifications in terms of both research and teaching skills to meet the criteria for a position as a senior lecturer.

Information
This is a fixed-term full-time position for a period of 4-6 years (the exact length will be decided in connection with appointment). The appointment may be extended, but for no longer than two years, if because of the associate senior lecturer’s illness, parental leave or other special grounds additional time is needed to fulfill the purpose of the appointment. At Örebro University, salary depends on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
