Atlas Antibodies is looking for a Research Scientist with expertise in immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Atlas Antibodies in Bromma, Stockholm is looking for a driven and experienced Research Scientist with high expertise within Immunohistochemistry (IHC) for the Research and Development department. In your role as Research Scientist you will continue building on our First in Class IHC application and future strategy in pathology.
The Role
You will contribute to the in-house knowledge of IHC at Atlas Antibodies in terms of bringing high scientific value and continuously working towards improved efficiency and quality of the antibodies.
As a Lab-based research scientist you will take an independent scientific role in applying skills of immunohistochemical analysis on tissues and cells. You will also apply your experience of antibody development and optimization for RUO and IVD grade antibodies as well as an understanding of the pathology field and its’ relevant targets. You will also contribute in the development of the IHC application with focus on pathology with ideas and strategic thinking.
• Develop the most appropriate validation for respective target.
• Participate in establishing strong external collaborations
• Independently design, execute, present, and interpret exploratory activities and projects
• Provide scientific recommendations for customer support within expert area

Your profile
We are looking for a scientist with experience in immunohistochemical analysis and an understanding for monoclonal antibody development.
You have an PhD in Biology, Cell biology or a related discipline. To succeed in this role, you have a good understanding of the conversion of RUO-validated antibodies via enhanced validation suitable for IVD and pharma clients and deep knowledge of key histotechnology platforms, gained from an IVD or Pharmaceutical organization. You also have experience working under regulatory guidelines, such as GLP.
You also have proven ability to apply your experience to target profiling and histological validation covering several types of tissues, organs and species.
In addition, you are fluent in English (verbal and written). As a person you are unpretentious with great social and communication skills. Industrial Life Science experience is highly meritorious as well as Swedish language skills (verbal and written).
