Work description
Our rollers (both soil and asphalt) are used in road construction working areas all around the world, normally in very harsh environments with high demands on safety, reliability and productivity. Our design work is organized in product improvements, new product development and basic development. We work in close cooperation with the other functions within the product company e.g. Marketing, Strategic purchasing, Production and Service.

You will be working in the Heavy Compaction Design & Development department with software development from requirements specification to verified solution. You will be a member of a team responsible for Drive and Control systems including operators environment.

Expectations are high regarding innovations within the area of Process Control, Energy efficiency and Man-Machine-Interface, which gives a focus on the achievements from the team.The team consists of about ten people with different competencies and objectives. The work is usually done in form of projects where you have your own area of responsibility. You report to the team leader and to project management.

Among the tasks:
- Participate in development/maintenance of software environment & equipment
- Estimate work effort and break down design items into manageable modules
- Participate and contribute to planning meetings
- Documentation of developed functionality
- Create demos of developed functionality
- Start and test of prototype machines
- Follow up field test machines

Who are you?
You have a Master of Science degree within relevant area or equivalent work experience. We expect three years experience in embedded systems and software development and you have very good programming practice. We believe that you are technologically driven and a structured problem solver.

You have a strong ability to work in project teams, but also to independently pursue issues within your own area of responsibility. You are also used to create and manage both internal and external contacts. It is important that you have a good knowledge of English and Swedish, both in written and spoken form.

You have knowledge and keen interest in the development of complex systems in C++ and/or embedded systems in C. Knowledge in other programming languages is also qualifying.
