Driving Dynamics is a department within Vehicle Engineering that are responsible for vehicle motion, behaviour and control in all driving modes and directions. The objective is to achieve excellent driving experience for active driving as well as for autonomous drive. The group Performance & Driveability, Braking and Driver Assistance is responsible for the vehicle longitudinal performance and dynamics. The group consist of 25 persons, of which 9 are attribute leaders. The remaining part of the group works with verification and CAE, mainly related to Braking and Vehicle Dynamics Control. As an attribute organization, we are responsible for current and future vehicle models. We perform competitor benchmark studies and work close with market intelligence to break down customer expectations into technical requirements. We participate in the Annual work and give our input to the Advanced Engineering process. To ensure attribute fulfilment, by ordering objective verification and support with subjective judgment when needed.

We are now searching for a new colleague that will be our new Attribute Leader within performance and driveability. Are you interested in understanding customer expectation and demands, and be a part of improving the driving experience of the Volvo cars in order to make them fun to drive? Maybe this is a position for you. Your responsibilities will also be to take part of Volvo engine, electrical and hybrid drivelines development as well as translate subjective judgments to objective requirements.

Required Qualifications

* M.Sc or several years of relevant experience
* Driving license (B)
* Good knowledge of powertrains is seen as meritorious
* Work experience within powertrain control is seen as meritorious
* Experience of Matlab is seen as meritorious
* Fluent in English
