What we offer
Volvo Cars have an ambitious growth plan for connected functionality and autonomous drive. To mitigate the threats presented to a connected autonomous vehicle, we have a solid foundation of competence within our very dedicated Security and Privacy team. You will become a member of an agile development team with great team spirit. Volvo Cars have a holistic approach to the extended vehicle security and privacy, spanning the complete vehicle lifecycle, involving technology for protection and detection, as well as threat intelligence and incident response. Due to your contributions to the area you will be recognized as an important player in the Security and Privacy fields.
We are now looking for an Attribute Leader within Security and Privacy, if you have a passion for security in embedded system and are inspired by our mission to give our customer a better car experience every day, then keep reading!
What you’ll do
In this role you will use your deep knowledge to create and enhance the protective measures that we implement in vehicle embedded systems and extended-vehicle connectivity services. You will develop and maintain a Security and Privacy Management Process that is aligned with applicable laws, standards and best practices, it will be on your response to translate subjective expectations about e.g. legal requirements and best practices to objective requirements and standardizations that are maintained over time. You will have the opportunity to benchmark within Automotive Industry, develop your own knowledge and be part of Volvo Car’s Security and Privacy community. You will also represent Security and Privacy in other applicable fora and meetings.
You and Your Skills
You are curious and want to contribute to develop ground-breaking technology! You have experience within the field of security and privacy by design and a strong understanding for the digital threat landscape of a connected vehicle.
Further, we see that you have B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Software, Electrical or Computer engineering, or other relevant area, with understanding of the security mechanisms, safety concerns, privacy concerns, vehicle in general and function development as well as relevant professional experience of developing security solutions in vehicle or another embedded environment. It will be highly beneficial if you are experienced within agile development.
As a person you are customer focused and committed to deliver high quality. You are flexible and have the ability to proceed your work without having all facts at hand before you start. Building relations come naturally for you, in order to gain technical insights, you will need a network that includes people from all areas in the company. You have excellent communication and documentation skills.
