Date: May 4 -5, 2020
Place: Stockholm, Sweden

Compulsory works Timpani;

Bacchanale, "Allegro Vivace”. Excerpt no. 1
Brahms, Symphony no. 1. Excerpt no. 11, 12 and 13.
Orchestral excerpts

All the timpani repertoire will be played on 5 Aehnelt timpani with calfheads except for Bacchanale “Allegro Vivace” which is played on Ringer/Winkelmann timpani with plastic heads, American setup.

All the instruments have Berlin pedal.

Delecluse, Excerpt no. 32 (Snare drum)
Zappa, Black Page, Excerpt no. 38 (Vibraphone)
Bach, Bourrée, Excerpt no. 41 (Marimba)
2nd round:
Lilloff-Århus Etyde no. 9, excerpt no. 37 (Snare drum)
Norberg Etude excerpt no. 54 (Tambourine)
Mozart The Magic Flute excerpt no. 50 (Bells)
Andersson Jehu excerpt no. 42 (Xylo)
3rd round:
Sjostakovitsch Lady McBeth excerpt no. 49 (xylo)
Orchestral excerpts

Candidates can bring their own tambourine, but the Swedish Radio will provide you with all other instruments. More information about the different instruments will be sent out later on, after receiving all applications.
