Your responsibilities will include:
· Organise and execute HV switching, isolation, earthing, and issue of safety documentation for customer HV networks up to 33kV.
· Ensure, so far as is reasonable and practicable, that all personnel observe and comply with relevant Safe Systems of Work
· Evaluate, review, appoint and maintain a register of skilled/competent persons (including records of training and areas of responsibilities)
· Ability to carry out Investigations with respect to near misses, incidents, and accidents.
· Assist with and coordinate on-site teams and sub-contractors, ensuring they complete tasks on time and safely to required standards.
· Allocate work and ensure completion in accordance with the project schedule and Cx Plan
· Adhere to all Statutory Standards and Regulations
· Assist teams with resolving matters arising.
· Maintain effective health and safety systems, including completion of risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, etc.
· Complete project documentation and reports accurately and concisely.
· Identify corrective actions and implementation of countermeasures to maximise productivity.
· Liaise with client managers daily and have a voice in project meetings.
Skills and Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
• Ability to use own initiative with a hands-on approach.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills, attention to detail and work ethic.
• Authorised as AP able to work on 33kV.
• Experience of delivering efficient and effective services to customers whether on site or at a planning stage from an office environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Distribution Safety rules and their application.
• Excellent H&S Knowledge and Standards
• Safe Pass – CCNSG/CSCS or equivalent
• The ability to demonstrate a pragmatic and ‘common sense’ approach to problem solving.
• The ability to prioritise works, accommodate conflicting requests, whilst ensuring the day-to-day functionality of the project
