Why the department ‘Software development system’?
The share of the customer value that are created by software is increasing rapidly. Digitalization and software in both vehicles and cloud-based services are key for future success.
A new department called Software Development System is started to ensure the best Software Developer Experience in our business. Our mission is to enable development teams in our company to efficiently identify customer needs, explore solutions and to develop and deploy new features to the rolling customer fleet. We aim to create an excellent SW development experience with fast learning loops based on data driven development by implementing one common highly automated development pipe, process and toolchain to make it easy and fun to deliver customer value through software. What we create here today will be the every day reality for all SW function developers at Scania tomorrow.
Why the group ‘Concept development and Investigations’?
The new group ‘Concept development and Investigations’ will be responsible for refining the definition and strategy of the new department. Therefor we are searching for senior experts to identify and lead the necessary investigations that ultimately enable the best SW developer experience in our business. The members of this group will heavily influence the strategy of all SW functional development at Scania.
This specific role is covering the areas of Integration as a service and Automated test pipes. There is also a need to better connect lower-level testing with E/E System/Integration testing and complete vehicle testing/integration. The goal is a one-click-build for SW that triggers an automated test pipe that leads to a verified SW ready to be launched to the customer.
Your tasks
• Optimize Test Environment as a Service (TEaaS), provide HIL/SIL test environments
• Provide framework for automated integration verification
• Connect the SW Solution configuration tools to the test environments
• Create a detailed vision for the fields mentioned above
• Inventory tools and processes to visualize the gap and identify necessary work packages
Your profile
We are looking for a senior expert that has
• a background in Embedded SW development (HW and/or test experience is a bonus)
• a genuine interest in how techniques, processes and methods are integrated to create an optimized workflows
• a graduate degree in engineering or equivalent
• the capability to manage a large network with many interfaces and your strength is to identify your contribution to the big picture
• knowledge of English and Swedish both in written and spoken form
