About the job
We are now looking for a Automation and Robotics Application Engineer, to join our growing application team within CNC-Robotics, motion control and Automation. You will work on revolutionizing flexible automation by bringing new robot based solutions, enriched with the latest control system technology, into practical use.
Main responsibilities:
• Robot application development using third party control systems enriched with in house software add-ons, also including component implementation and integration.
• Developing real-time motion control applications for production machines and Robots on TwinCAT 3
• System design and architecture (HW and SW) of distributed control systems for top application performance.
• Optimizing branch-specific technological processes on the level of motion controller and drives
• Performance evaluation, testing and analysis.
Consulting our customers to achieve the best solution for their technological requirements
Working in international application teams and cooperating closely with key OEMs
Training of application engineers worldwide for the developed applications and solutions
Commissioning support at machine builders sites
Your background and qualification
University degree in Electrical / Mechatronics / Robotics Engineering or comparable
Deep understanding for automation system architecture, software development, industrial field buses and motion control.
Good understanding of PLCs, Motion Control & Drives, Ideally experience working with Twincat 3 and TwinCAT-CNC.
Knowledge in robotics application programming. KUKA (KRC4 and KRC5), as well as other robot systems preferred.
Knowledge in C/C++ programming languages. Experience with component development for industrial control systems and real time operating systems.
Experience with software release management and testing and/or Product release and roll out strategy.
Good communication skills towards colleagues and customers
Good problem-solving skills coupled with a strong aptitude to learn and innovate.
Be motivated by working in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
Willing to travel and work at customer sites from time to time and to work overtime to meet customer project commitments.
English: business fluent
