The Cloud team is a part of the Technology organization at Volvo Autonomous Solutions. We design the solutions of the future including connectivity, teleoperation, cybersecurity and cloud services for autonomous traffic, fleet and productivity management. WHO ARE YOU? WHAT WILL YOU BE WORKING WITH?


Imagine a future where trucks and machines are driving around without a physical operator in the cab. Normal operation is completely autonomous, and vehicles are stopping automatically for electrical charging. Everything under surveillance from a central control tower, where operators can teleoperate vehicles based on video feedback when needed.
Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it? You now have the chance to join our Tele-operations team and make this a reality!


You will have the unique opportunity to be part of designing our complete teleoperation solution for trucks as well as yellow machines, including connectivity, control and video feedback for our operators. The solutions designed by the team will be used on public road as well as in confined areas such as mines or quarries.
Since we don’t know you yet, we are not exactly sure about who you are or what you know. But if we guess, we believe that you have your background in this area:
Knowledge from and within software development. If you are familiar with interfacing hardware such as cameras, ECUs and sensors it’s great, but not a requirement.
You may already have experience of the automotive industry or mechatronics and if not, you probably have the interest to learn.

LOCATION


At Volvo Autonomous Solutions we have a well-established setup for working remotely. We are based in Eskilstuna and Gothenburg. Candidates for this position should have possibility to have a somewhat regular face-to-face presence in Gothenburg and/or Eskilstuna.
