Here’s what you would do,
As an Automation Engineer in our Landskrona engineering team, you
will be owning the automation function on site, focusing on developing and continuously improving functionality and processes, and ultimately, our site's reliability and sustainability.
It includes to support the function both strategically and operationally, improving and developing processes, procedures, and data management.
This is an excellent chance for an experienced automation engineer from the food process industry to get in the game and help us help the planet!
Here’s what the role involves,
As our Automation Engineer, you’ll mostly be focusing on…
- Planning and coordinating the automation engineering activities facilitating efficient, best practice and safe manufacturing operations across the site.
- To be the link between our central BizTech/IT development organisation and the Landskrona site
- To work collaboratively with Global and EMEA Engineering team and within the technical teams on site.
- To drive continuous improvement activities in people and food safety, process improvements, machine availability and loss reduction.
- Provide technical support to the operations, quality, and maintenance functions with the aim of reducing manufacturing losses and driving predictability:
o Respond to manufacturing issues as they occur
o Provide technical support to the R&D and Operations teams during product scale-up and troubleshooting activities
o Assist the quality group to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
o Develop SOP’s and operating manuals, train personnel on implementing best practice for processing and packaging (automation systems)
o Install-connect, collect, and present data thru Citect and other automation-related systems
o Maintain all hardware and software updates according to business need
o Provide support with data integrity
o Manage product updates
-Leading external resource partners and handling service agreements
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure all requirements from all perspectives (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, SHEQ and other departments) are met and adhered to

Does this sound like you?
Here’s the kind of experience, qualities, and approach that
we’re looking for at Oatly:
- M.Sc or B.Sc. in Engineering (Automation, electronics, IT, systems or similar) paired with at least 5-10 years’ relevant experience, preferably in the food manufacturing, liquid processing, or consumer goods industry
- Solid experience of programming and IT infrastructure in process industry
- Very good experience of ERP systems, preferably D365, as well as Siemens Systems (SCADA), preferably also Citect
Previous experience of testing, commissioning, validation, and start-up of production lines and -equipment when it comes to automation
Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented with a holistic perspective (see Get in the Game)
Solution-oriented: identifying issues, suggesting, and implementing solutions
Good influencing and communicative skills, interacting with and lead a diverse group, including managers, technicians, operators, and subject matter experts.
Very good verbal and written communication skills in English and Swedish
Project Management skills, preferably with a certification
