The role of automation engineer at IGEMS involves a lot of travel as much of the work takes place at our customers' locations around the world. So good language skills in mainly English is a requirement, if you know more languages it is of course a plus.
As an automation engineer at IGEMS you will assist in developing our CNC control system for waterjet machines. You will spend time in the office writing C# code both for our HMI and for the CNC kernel. You will also be out visiting our customers and commissioning new machines with our CNC.
Some days you will spend providing technical support for existing installations and customers. You will assist in writing the English technical documentation of our products.
There will also be time to do hands-on test cutting and in our Waterjet Lab. Your days as an automation engineer at IGEMS will be filled with joy and excitement.

Education and Experience
Degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or similar, or certified engineer in automation technology.
Experience in the field of PLC programming and commissioning, preferably using Beckhoff TwinCAT3 or CODESY based systems.
Experience in waterjet cutting
Experience in writing C# code
Experience in giving technical support and troubleshooting in the field and remotely.
Knowledge in CAD/CAM
Knowledge about fieldbus systems
Knowledge of sensors/sensor signals and test equipment
Experience with functional safety system design and implementation
Basic understanding of electrical schematics
Work experience 2-4 years
