Automation Engineer

Today, we are a team of 70 individuals in the IT department in Oskarshamn working together to add value to our production workshops. We utilize our IT skills to continually improve, streamline, and ensure the reliability of our production processes.
We are currently seeking an Automation Engineer to join our IT team, which focuses on the core process from metal coil to finished painted cabin. The team comprises automation engineers, software developers, architects, and data engineers. We employ agile methodologies and have clear expectations for deliverables.
Your Role
In this position, we work to identify new needs within the operation to transform them into digital solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Developing and managing IT/automation solutions
Providing support for investment projects
Supporting production-critical systems
Maintaining local systems
Assisting users

Your Profile
We believe you have a relevant education in Automation and practical experience in the field. You enjoy delving into the technical details while also possessing a strong ability to see the bigger picture and collaborate across different parts of the company.
You have strong analytical skills, can understand contexts at a high level, and can also delve deep to solve more technical problems. Your personal qualities include a sense of responsibility, social competence, and an ability to see the bigger picture. While you are proactive, you are also a team player who understands that cooperation is key to success.
Familiarity with platforms such as WinCC, Wonderware, and Ignition is beneficial, and experience with SQL databases is a plus. English is our corporate language, which you need to be fluent in both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Swedish is an advantage. As the position is based in Oskarshamn, we expect you to reside there or in the vicinity.
