Role description
An Automation Engineer consultant works with programming, testing and commissioning in order to create solutions adapted to different product types and customer needs. The focus is on automation engineering in alignment with process engineering to ensure the total functionality. The consultant performs analysis, system design and creates original or modifies existing HMI, database and PLC programs to meet project requirements. The work can also consists of ongoing customer support & troubleshooting and automation training for customer personnel on systems/modules.

Job description:
The customer´s packaging production lines consists of various downstream equipment after the filling machines.
At the site in Lund they have an organization that technically own, develop and maintain all equipment related to downstream equipment.
The work is performed in an agile Environment through several cross functional scrum teams that is managed and coordinated by a dedicated program.

They are now searching for a new consultant to complement an existing scrum team with one additional automation engineer that has a passion for technology and development.
As a member in a cross functional scrum team you are a true team player that easily can collaborate with different types of people and embrace the customer´s agile principles and implement them in their environment.
It is of very high importance that the team member will be able to communicate and explain the needs of the automation area for the team and the surrounding stakeholders in a natural pragmatic way.

As an automation engineer you have a broad profile with emphasis on PLC programming in Rockwell Automation. Other very meriting skills are electrical design & motion.
Experience on the whole development process from documentation, development, test and commissioning is seen as a strong merit.
Knowledge around Beckhoff is not a must but seen as a plus.
The scrum team is based in Lund but in the work there will be a need to travel to our suppliers and/or customers to support at different stages.
