Role Summary/Purpose:

We are looking for a new colleague to join the CBS Automation team. The function as an Automation Engineer implies Automation design of Customized Bioprocess solutions. The role is to deliver automation solutions in customer projects. This includes specification and verification of electrical design and control system. As the Automation Engineer you will also handle investigations on reported faults and complaints regarding electrical and control system design.

Essential Responsibilities:

The main responsibility in the role as Automation Engineer is to specify the electrical design and layout for bioprocess equipment and to implement the control system. You will be working in a team of approximately 10 automation engineers and report to the Automation Section Manager. Automation engineers also support other functions in automation related questions. Troubleshooting/fault investigations at customer site may occur.

Key responsibilities include:

Specify the electrical design and layout
Configuration and implementation of control system
SW test planning
Support customer FATs
Participate in technical discussion with customers
Participate in design reviews with customers
Maintain and develop competence required
Support Service with maintenance and repair of customized equipment
Assist sales support team with automation solutions during quotation phase

Installations on customer sites may occur which involve occasional travels to customer sites.
Qualifications/Requirements:

A B.Sc degree with relevant technical automation/engineering focus, or comparable level of competence is important. To be successful in this role we also believe you have a genuine technical interest and problem solving skills in combination with a strong drive and customer focus. You are comfortable in working at a high pace and to deliver quality on short notice. You have experience from working in a project driven organization and thrive in an environment that offers daily technical challenges.


Formal requirements are:

Engineer (Swedish level of "Gymnasieingenjör" and minimum two years of relevant experience or "högskoleingenjör") in medical technology, electrical technology or similar knowledge from working experience
English and Swedish as working languages, both written and spoken
GMP knowledge
Experience from testing/verification of chromatography systems
EU work permit
