As part of Tetra Pak´s Development organisation, the Packaging Material organisation is responsible to develop, maintain and implement world class packaging material and converting solutions, enabling Tetra Pak to deliver competitive packaging solutions. The Engineering team supports the projects with Automation, electrical design, mechanical design, technical publications, maintenance and equipment safety in all converting technology areas. We are the global owner of the converting specifications related to tools, methods and standards for converting equipment design.


As an Automation Engineer you will work in technology and product development projects, from initial ideas to automation solutions ready for deployment in our converting factories. You will be part of cross functional project teams, and working close to our suppliers. The position offers you to develop your expertise in a broad technical area covering the full converting line process and its different technologies.

The position is based in Lund and could require travelling about 15% of your time.

Main responsibilities
- Design automation solutions according to legal demands, corporate standards and product specifications.
- PLC (Program Logic Control) with focus on Siemens systems
- HMI (Human Machine Interface) with focus on Siemens system
- High level programming
- Requirements management and supplier machine module validation.


Qualifications

We are looking for a collaborative new colleague with a strong and broad technical interest. You have a creative as well as an analytical mindset, and the ability to find new solutions and solve technical problems. You enjoy teamwork and are a clear communicator.


You have previous experience of PLC and HMI programming, and preferably also of high level programming such as C#, VB, C++. We also believe that you have experience from programming SCADA systems and industrial IT. Should you have experience applying a line production mindset from other industries, such as the food, process or automotive industry, this would be highly valuable.
Your educational background is probably a university degree in Electrical, Computer or Industrial IT Engineering.
