We at Outokumpu in Degerfors are looking for a new employee for our team with committed and competent automation technicians. With us you get the opportunity to work in a very exciting role, in a dynamic workplace, where safety always comes first and no day is the same. In addition to working closely within the team, you work together with electricians, mechanics and hydraulic technicians. You will also receive support from planners, electrical engineers and automation engineers.

The position is full-time and you work during the day with flex opportunities. The role of automation technician includes some preparedness work.


Your main tasks
Participate in safety work for a safe, safe and pleasant work environment
Troubleshoot in control systems and furnace processes in particular
Remedy and prevent faults in our production facility
Comply with legal requirements and regulations and thus be responsible for conducting operational tests, measurements and inspections
Contribute to the development of maintenance work to improve reliability
Run and participate in improvement work
Be involved in investment and renovation projects
Work in our UH system (Maximo)


Who are you?
You have upper secondary education expertise in electrical/control and control technology with a focus on Automation Technology. We would like you to have a few years of experience from similar service and that you have worked with troubleshooting and software changes in PLC-based control systems.
Furthermore, you have knowledge of different measurement principles as well as laws and regulations in the field of electricity. It is a merit if you have experience from working with oven processes.
It is important that you can express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English.
