Scania Corporate Insurance consists of five staff, located in Södertälje and responsible for global insurance management.The various group insurances we develop, place and maintain typically need to be complemented with pure local insurances - even those monitored and managed by the team.We monitor incidents and claims globally, the experiences of which are then incorporated in our pro-active global loss prevention and risk management initiatives.
Scania is a leading provider of heavy vehicles and services.Our different units within the group have different automotive risk exposures and needs, for example:
- Research & Development tests and develops future vehicles; test engineers drive vehicles worldwide, monitoring a test fleet of own vehicles
- Production owns many different vehicles used within the different stages of the production process, from forklift trucks to heavy trucks
- Sales & Services comprises a global network of some Scania-owned 60 importers, with more than 460 dealers and workshops.Here we sell, maintain and repair vehicles
- Financial Services offers a variety of financing solutions to our customers.In 40 markets we also offer different customer insurance products, providing customers with first class protection and generating additional income to the group.
It is Scania Corporate Insurance's task to manage the vehicle related risks appropriately and cost-efficiently.To keep doing that, we need to reinforce our team with an Automotive Insurance Specialist.
Your assignment
You will become our in-house specialist for all vehicle related insurance exposures.You need to be able to play the roles of customer, insurer, advisor, underwriter, claims co-ordinator, etc.Focus at present lies on further developing our Group Motor insurance initiative, i.e.Third Party Automobile Liability and Physical Damage.In addition, you will become involved with discussions on Workshop Liability, Warranty, Recall, Producer Responsibility, etc.Scania's insurance captive is a useful risk management tool even for certain motor-related risks.Therefore, we will need you to allocate some of your time managing motor-related business presently written in the captive.
Although your base will be in Södertälje, you will do a certain amount of travelling as most of our key customers and strategic partners are situated through out Europe.
Your profile
We require appropriate training/education (IFU diploma or similar).In addition, you preferably have substantial experience of motor insurance in an international environment; either with an insurer, advisor or claims adjuster.Alternatively, you have a more general background in international insurance management.
