We are currently looking for a new Automotive Key Account Manager to join our Automotive & Aerospace Solutions Division as Maternity Leave cover.

Duration of contract - ~1 year

Location - field-based, Gothenburg Area

Account Responsibility - Volvo Cars

Overall Mission

This is an exciting opportunity for a high performing individual to join the Volvo Cars global key account team. This role's primary responsibility is sales of 3M solutions into Volvo Cars and their Tier suppliers in Sweden and Nordic region. Gaining new business specification for Volvo Cars.

The successful candidate will join the Volvo Cars Global Key Account Team and supported by North Europe Automotive Team with members based both in the UK and Sweden.

High Level responsibility for this role is as follows:

* Partner with Volvo Cars global team to co-ordinate all customer related activities for Volvo cars
* Creating and managing a sales plan for all 3M solution with Interior, Exterior and BiW segments at the key account
* Project managing new applications from initial concept stage through to contract approval
* Networking and building relationships both internally and with our customers
* Implementing marketing strategy, NPI introduction and assist with Automotive Priority Growth Platforms

Key Job Responsibilities

* Build sustainable long-term relationship at the key account in areas such as Design, Engineering, Quality, Production and Purchasing
* Perform opportunity analysis by platform then set objectives with defined actions and timing plans.
* Control product range pricing, profitability and supply chain
* Negotiate for new business, handle customer specific supply contracts and annual price challenge
* Lead and participate in local, EMEA and Global project teams to manage new projects from opportunity to sale using customer specific project management systems
* Work with 3M Global Automotive systems for new product generation, opportunity tracking and sales forecasting

Skills, experience and key capabilities

It would be desirable for a candidate for this role to be able to meet / demonstrate the following:

* BA/BSc or HND/C in Business or Technical discipline is desirable but not essential if candidate can show relevant in job experience
* Sales/Business experience in Automotive market
* Automotive tier 1 experience is highly appreciated
* Ability to understand and converse confidently on technical subjects
* Demonstrate ability to manage high value complex Key Accounts at all levels
* Strong communication skill at all levels of a multi-national/ global organisation
* Leadership skills in managing projects teams which can be cross-functional and cross-cultural
* Strong negotiation skills in handling major contract negotiations within highly challenging environment
* Strong analytical skills to manage account profitability, pricing, economics and detailed cost analysis
* Detailed knowledge of automotive OEM project management techniques
* Understanding of mass production processes and associated supply chains
* Ability to remain calm, rational and focused in a highly-pressured market place
* Knowledge of double-sided tapes, acoustic absorbers, adhesives, and convertor market would be beneficial.
