We are now looking for a Safety Engineer for our battery monitoring and acclimatization systems for high-voltage batteries. By joining here you get the opportunity to take a central role in the technology shift at Scania.
What does the role of the Safety Engineer look like?
As a safety engineer, you'll work within a team with knowledgeable individuals, providing a secure and competent environment. A supporting team where we share both successes and mistakes. Our motivated team thrives in cross-functional setups. Driven by a permissive atmosphere we together contribute to the collaboration of developing a safe green product, in a agile way of working.
In this role, you will contribute to the overall safety of Scania’s vehicles by working with technical and process-related activities for the development of E-mobility control systems with industry-leading safety levels.
With the creation of safety analyses, and the definition of safety measures for mitigating unreasonable risk due to hazards caused by either malfunctioning behavior of the electric/electronic systems or the mechanical parts of the total system.
Tasks include:
• Creation of structured, systematic techniques such as Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), Functional & Technical Safety Concepts (FSC, TSC), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Development of technical safety concepts according to ISO26262.
• Contribute to the further development of safety processes and culture at TRATON.
The team and what we do
In the "Electrification System Management" group, we oversee Scania's proprietary battery monitoring and acclimatization systems for high-voltage batteries. With 12 experienced employees, we prioritize system functionality and security. We thrive in a fast-paced environment, embracing challenges and fostering a collaborative approach.

Your profile
As a person, you are a goal-oriented, analytical thinker with a passion for continuous development.
What we hope to find in your CV:
• Bachelor's or Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience in system development of embedded systems.
• Good knowledge of software development for real-time systems.
• Previous experience working with ISO26262 or equivalent standards from other product development.
• Good oral and written proficiency in Swedish and English.
