Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
Lead the management and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure in Europe, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Design, implement, and oversee the cloud infrastructure across multiple regions, including the US and APAC.
Utilize Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and manage infrastructure provisioning across different regions.
Deploy, manage, and maintain multiple Kubernetes clusters tailored to the specific requirements of each region.
Develop and implement network architecture to ensure robust resource isolation within internal networks.
Configure cross-regional network elements like load balancers, inter-region VPC peering, and hybrid cloud configurations.
Design and enforce comprehensive network security protocols customized for each region’s needs.
Deploy and manage region-specific relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Establish cross-regional data replication and backup strategies while adhering to local data regulations.
Implement and manage region-specific data warehousing solutions using tools like AWS Redshift, ensuring data residency and security.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers, sharing expertise in managing multi-regional infrastructure.

What you bring:
Master’s degree in Engineering or demonstrated experience in solving complex challenges.
8+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure management, with a strong focus on AWS services.
3+ years of experience using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
Expertise in orchestrating and managing multiple Kubernetes clusters across diverse geographical regions.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with backend development, frontend development, and data engineering; understanding the technology stack running on provisioned infrastructure is advantageous.
Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and applications.
