AWS Cost Optimization Specialist

We are looking for a new colleague to join our team in an automotive assignment.


As an AWS Cost Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the costs associated with our organization's Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Your primary goal will be to identify cost-saving opportunities, implement effective strategies, and ensure optimal resource utilization within the AWS environment.

Responsibilities
Track and analyse AWS billing reports, cost allocation tags, and usage data to gain insights into resource consumption patterns. 
Identify cost anomalies, trends, and potential areas for optimization. 
Generate regular reports and provide recommendations to stakeholders on cost management.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for rightsizing, instance utilization, and service optimization. 
Implement cost-effective strategies to maximize resource efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenditures. 
Identify and manage idle or underutilized resources, optimizing their utilization or decommissioning them as appropriate. 
Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to identify cost optimization opportunities during the design and development phases of AWS projects. 
Provide guidance and best practices to development teams for optimizing costs without compromising performance, security, or scalability. 
Continuously monitor AWS cost management resources, blogs, and industry trends to stay up to date with the latest cost optimization techniques and tools. 
Evaluate and recommend third-party tools or services that can enhance AWS cost monitoring and optimization capabilities. 
Able to visualize various areas of business into reports to provide.




Qualifications
Previous experience on similar positions;
Very good knowledge and understanding of AWS;
You are self-driven, motivated by challenges and action oriented. 
You are systematic in your approach, good at planning and bring structure into the process. 
You have strategic capabilities and good presentation skills.
Along with your good communication skills, you should prove your fluency in English, both spoken and written.
