This is a full-time position, based at our Global Headquarters in Sweden - Stockholm

All about the role:


As a Data Platform Engineer, you will plan, design, build and manage the Global Data platform used for analytical consumption. Key tasks include working with cloud infrastructure teams, data engineers, data scientists and enable them to ship code quicker. The work contains multidisciplinary technologies such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and containerization. Together with Data compliance and Domain teams, you will ensure that data is managed and consumed according to the Electrolux security and compliance policies

What you will do:


· Design and implement automation of application lifecycle, including build test and deployment
· Build reliable and scalable platform solutions on Microsoft Azure, utilizing components such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, etc.
· Perform operations tasks such as monitoring application performance over time or troubleshoot issues with production applications
· Monitor performance and create a plan to ensure the platform can grow with increased data volumes
· Proactively improve processes and technologies to prevent and minimize security risk for both data and the data platforms
· Develop and maintain documentation of processes and tools related to the data platform
· Proactively work to prevent Data exfiltration i.e., prevent data theft, data extrusion, data exportation, and data leakage
· Develop and engineer Kubernetes clusters and the containerized applications they run using tools such as Helm and Azure DevOps Pipelines
· Manage clusters, policies, and security of Databricks Workspaces and other Data Engineering tools
· Keep abreast of emerging technology trends and proactively look for opportunities to improve Data platform
· Assist Platform operations team in troubleshooting issues, deploying new tools and technologies etc
· Provide on-call support as necessary


Requirements


· At least 3 years of experience in Azure Cloud/data platforms
· Proven experience in designing and building containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm or similar
· Proven experience in using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure BICEP or similar), writing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar) and code source control (Git)
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, strong work ethic, pragmatic, attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills to interact with technical and non-technical users
· Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills


Additional requirements


· Strong proficiency in agile development, preferably in distributed organizations working closely with architects, engineers, data scientists, security, infrastructure and operations professionals
· Experience with Policy based access controls, Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Airflow, Event hubs and similar
