For a core position in Sandvik Machining Solutions’ management team, we’re now looking for a commercially skilled BA CFO/Vice President Finance and IT – someone who finds inspiration in the opportunity to operate in a setting influenced by multiple brands.
The job
Joining us in this central position, you work closely with our president as you support and advise us towards strategic and successful financial operations. You protect and enhance shareholder value by ensuring depth and accuracy in figures and by building confidence in decision making. Together with the management team, you make sure that we have a strong execution and a high performing organization in the areas of finance, pricing and IT. You lead this community in a global matrix setting, covering all divisions and support functions, and with your expertise and involvement, you ensure that we follow the overall strategic direction and common ways of working towards best practice. As a vital part of your assignment, you assist in M&As and other investments, and you drive necessary change initiatives throughout SMS globally. By understanding the market and performing industry analysis, you inform our management of both political and economic factors which may influence our business plans.


Building bridges at all levels throughout Sandvik and staying connected with the business are keys in this position, and you provide a confident, inspiring and supportive leadership to our organization. As you act in a global business environment that includes multiple brands as well as diverse cultural and economic challenges, you’re the number one promoter of excellent collaborations. For us, this means working closely with our stakeholders and the wider organization, and by doing so, you bring true understanding of numbers, figures, details.

The location for this position is flexible within Europe, though the role requires considerable presence in Stockholm, Sweden. As we’re a truly global, extensive travel is required in this role,

Your profile
We’re looking for an experienced business partner who understands what it takes to lead financial operations in a global business with a high degree of complexity. You have a proven track record from increasingly large, international and demanding positions with a strategic responsibility for financial operations, investor relations, M&As and business development. Your career includes previous experience from leading strong financial performance management, along with experience from executive management work. We also prefer if you’re familiar with our operations within Sandvik Machining Solutions. Naturally, your communication skills in English must be excellent.
Thoroughness is in your nature, and with a sense of urgency, you know when to walk the extra mile and how to get things done. You thrive when given the opportunity to influence change and growth, and as you understand the figures – you easily see trends and movements affecting business. Along with your drive and passion for business, you’re guided by confidence, integrity and high emotional intelligence. You know the value of sharing thoughts, effortlessly collaborate with different stakeholders in a large international organization and use a language that is easily understood and brings everyone on board. Your communication style is transparent and inspiring, and you leave a positive impact as you create strong collaborations and build trust in your relations. You’re also analytical and innovative – always challenging us to look at new perspectives and seize new opportunities.
