Now we are looking for BA Range Engineering Leader to strengthen our Food team with someone who shares our passion for food and our values.
The position will be based in Malmö until August 2023 then in Älmhult. At the heart of IKEA in Älmhult we will create the IKEA Food Hub where we will come together across IKEA to deliver on more healthy, sustainable & delicious food.
Job Description
This is a role with a lot of variation, where no workday is exactly like the other. A position where you make grand things happen through other people.
The BA Range Engineering Leader is a business focused role in the center of IKEA Foods product development. Your assignment is to lead the planning of engineering for the complete Consumer Packaged Goods /Food Service range portfolio, being part of the Range & Product team. You do this by utilizing the full potential of the engineering network in our value chain, ensuring that all products deliver to set objectives and goals in connection to strategies and business plans throughout the full product lifecycle.
The Range Engineering Leader will work in the Consumer Packaged Goods / Food Service Range & Product team and report to the BA Range & Product Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plan & secure deployment of innovative solutions and new materials
Plan engineering and specialist resources to the projects
Scope and brief projects to the development team as well as supporting them
Monitor and act on deviations
Set relevant KPI values in projects as running range improvement
Focused assignment across Home Furniture Business

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Interpret strategies & insights and contribute to the BA Range tactics in the Business Plan
Plan & secure deployment of the Range portfolio agenda from an engineering point of view
Identify and brief gaps in engineering areas based on sustainability & health mapping and more
Plan and allocate engineering resources to the projects
Contribute to Project Scope and brief projects to the development teams as well as a balanced range portfolio
Monitor, follow up and act on deviations
Set relevant KPI values in projects as running range improvement
Deployment of material and innovations contributing to a healthier & more sustainable offer
As a Range Engineering Leader, you will lead the improvement agenda for the range area:
Cross functional collaboration
That the products live up to being safe, healthy and sellable throughout the lifetime;
Engagement of additional development capabilities

You work in a diverse and interesting cross functional setting where you have all the different parts of the business coming together. As the engineering representative in the Range & Product Team and the Range & Product Team representative within Range & Product Engineering, you have a key role in making sure that both the running business and the projects are running smoothly towards our goals.
Qualifications
We believe that you have a University Degree in Food Engineering or equivalent. You have thorough knowledge and experience in IKEA Foods product development and in business development, and you understand the full IKEA Food value chain and how to create preconditions for an efficient development that will reach our goals.
Leadership comes natural to you, and you have a proven track record of direct or indirect leadership. You are always guided by the IKEA key values and you have the ability to lead through communication and creating strong and trustful networks and relationships in collaborative processes. You know how to motivate people and make them perform and deliver towards set goals and on time.
You understand the importance of communication and enjoy operating on a global arena. You have the ability to explore different perspectives, welcome innovation and dare to challenge when needed. You have experience in portfolio planning and project scoping, as well as a genuine interest to follow and coach the Development Teams during the product development journey. You are passionate about understanding of the customers’ expectations and to enable utilization of the latest and most effective solutions and innovations available in the IKEA network. Importantly, you enjoy developing the business and people together.
