At Sandvik Coromant Digital Machining, we’re building a new team to develop new ways of machining process planning automation – aiming to create innovative analytical solutions to automate tooling selection, process design, methods of manufacture, tool path generation and process optimization. We’re now looking for two Back-End Developers for Computer Aided Manufacturing to join our R&D team in Västberga, Stockholm

Your mission
Here, you get to work in an agile environment, alongside machining specialists, product owners, software developers, architects, testers, and of course our customers. You develop backend solutions for our automated methods of manufacturing, such as different algorithm models to help us understand and meet the needs of our users. We take an incremental approach to product development, where user feedback is a key enabler for both speed and ability to deliver the ultimate customer experience.

Your profile
We’re looking for two developers with a master's degree in Applied Mathematics or similar. Your analytical skills are exceptional, and you enjoy solving mathematical problems and creating new innovations that can be packaged into our software solutions. You always keep an eye on emerging technologies, competitors and what’s going on in the academic world. As a person, you’re a self-going team-player with good interpersonal skills, eager to work in an agile environment and to challenge yourself and learn new things every day.
Tech stacks that we work with and looking for: C++, C#, Azure DevOps, Python, OpenGL, VTK
Other things you need in order to thrive in this role are:
Experience from CAD/TD Graphics and the manufacturing industry
Experience developing high quality C++ code
Experience working with version control (GIT specifically)
Good knowledge in English, both verbal and written
Beneficial:
Knowledge of metal cutting processes and CAM-systems
Experience as technical project lead
Knowledge of OpenGL and other visualization techniques
