Arbetsbeskrivning
In a world where product size labels are wildly unreliable, Volumental is the footwear industry's leading FitTech™ company, using 3D scans and a one-of-a-kind, AI-powered recommendation engine to match everyone with the shoes that fit them best.
With top brand and retail partners across the world including New Balance, Bauer, The Athlete's Foot, Ecco and XXL, our footprint spans 2500+ stores across 45 countries, and growing!
What will you do?
Whether a customer is scanning their feet at a store in Japan or trying to find a pair of great fitting running shoes online, it’s all done through Volumental’s cloud. Cloud collects scan data, delivers 3D representations of your feet to your mailbox, and recommends footwear based on millions of scans and purchases. Your task will be to improve and extend the functionality of Volumental’s Cloud.
As a backend developer with Volumental, you will be part of the Infrastructure team. You will be building APIs, tools, and streaming data processes that make up the backbone of Volumental’s infrastructure. Everything we build is cloud-native and focuses on stability and availability. Our stakeholders include both customers and developers at Volumental.
You will be joining a company with a strong engineering culture and an arrow-like focus on the user experience. In this role, you will have significant technical influence and be able to move fast in our small, diverse, and experienced team.
We’re excited about this role and happy to tell you more and discuss the role and the project in person, so feel free to reach out to us. We encourage curiosity!
We want to work with you because you are:
A self-motivated and collaborative team member
Open to teaching others and learning new things
Excited by solving challenging problems
Keen to work in a caring scale-up environment
We expect you to:
Have built distributed and scalable backend systems.
Have experience with cloud platform infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP or Azure).
Love writing code.
Bonus - Don’t let these stop you from applying, but if they fit you, please let us know!
You are proficient in Golang or Python.
You have hosted workloads in Kubernetes.
You have experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
You have worked with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
