Backend Developer

The company is home to a vibrant and international team of around 40 dedicated people.
There are offices in Stockholm, Kiev, Tel Aviv, Washington DC, and Utrecht.
The organization is flat in the hierarchy, consensus-oriented, and distributed around the world.
Chromaway is still a startup, which means that the culture is rather different from big orgs. The core backend team doesn't have the same routines as most big organizations have, for example:
Workplace:
There is no standup in the morning, communication is mostly done over the chat platform (Zulip).
Only a few of the Stockholm-based developers show up in the Stockholm office, so it is remote-first culture.
In general, there are no timelines for tasks, a backend developer works with the task until he/she feels it's ready, and then it is put up for code review by someone else in the core team.
There is no rule for test coverage, so the backend developer decides themselves what logic deserves automated tests.
About the position:
We are looking for a Guru JVM backend developer. Developer with 7+ years experience on a 100% Kotlin project. No Kotlin experience is required, but vast knowledge about programming, in general, is a must-have.
You will be part of the Stockholm team and this is a remote-first, but some days are expected to be in central Stockholm.
