Backend Developer

We are looking for a Backend Developer to help us build our product and scale it around the world. The position is full-time and based in Stockholm.
How you will make an impact
We are seeking a seasoned developer with experience in scaling the web and all the details that go into building a great user and developer experience. In this team, you will be a vital part of our future and building products that impact all of our users in a scalable and stable way.
What you’ll do
Work on our microservices and evangelize the developer experience in the organization.
Create APIs for our team and others, with the documentation that comes with.
Integrate challenging and interesting internal and third party services to create a distributed system used by all of Epidemic’s creators.
Be a part of a diverse and inclusive team that values open communication and honesty with each other.
Conduct A/B tests and analyze data to improve user experience
Act as an architect, taking ownership of complex technical projects, including planning, cross-team collaboration, and impact evaluation
Mentor and coach team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture



What you’ll bring
Experience with building APIs and documentation.
Able to scale web solutions.
Experience with Python and Django (or another backend programming language such as Kotlin, Java, Go etc).
A focus on platform stability and observability.
Good communication skills.
A driven and impact motivated mindset with an attention to detail and eye on the future.



It would also be music to our ears if you are willing and able to work in Javascript.
