Backend Developer to Icomera

ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a backend developer you will work in one of Icomeras agile teams developing management tools that are part of their cloud based wireless broadband connectivity platform. Your focus will be on the backend part of the application even though your team, consisting of five other collegues, also works with frontend development and are responsible for the full delivery of customer value when building features. By that you also have the possibility to do frontend development as well.

The tool set today is a mix of different languages and frameworks. For example, Ruby on Rails, Flask, Python and React. However, Icomeras backend language for new development will be Python and thus the language you should prefer. Most of the management tools handle big data sets related to mobile connectivity.

For example, you will:

Work with data storage and data aggregation.Designing and developing Icomeras tools with scalability in terms of data traffic and users in mind.Handle large data sets and maintain a good user experiene.Build software for easy deployment and easy monitoring with Continuous Deployment on top of mind.Creating and performing unit-testing and functional testing of your own code.

The day-to-day work includes both development of new solutions and maintaining existing solutions and making sure that they are optimized to the needs of our clients. It is also a natural part of our work to find a good balance regarding Quality, Delivery and Cost (QDC) so that we can deliver high-quality code within the deadlines of various projects. Furthermore, it is important that you can write code that is readable, understandable and testable to establish a foundation for continuous deployment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

To succeed in this role, you need to:

Have a technical education within computer science, software engineering and/or telecom.Have experience in working with Python and React from school and/or work-life.Have excellent communications skills both written and spoken in English and basic in Swedish.

The following are appreciated but not mandatory:

Two /three years of practical experience in backend development using Python and have experience of developing software for the AWS cloud platform.

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:

This is a consulting assignment which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is that the assignment will result in a permanent position at the client company.
