Backend Engineer(Kotlin) - Stockholm

Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer – Kotlin to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
Develop and maintain robust and scalable backend services primarily using Kotlin and Ktor framework.
Engage in architectural discussions and contribute to the design of a multi-regional backend system.
Manage and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring their efficiency and reliability.
Handle search clusters such as OpenSearch to optimize search functionalities.
Work on the payment and product platform, ensuring fault tolerance and system stability.
Set up CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github, Gradle & CircleCI for automated deployment.
Monitor built services using tools like kubectl, Sentry, and Datadog for performance optimization.
Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and sharing best practices.
Collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex technical concepts clearly.

What you bring:
5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience in Kotlin development, with proficiency in modern and asynchronous backend frameworks.
Fluent in version control tools, CI/CD practices, and build automation tools.
Strong knowledge of deploying, managing, and monitoring backend services in a Kubernetes cluster.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical team members.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and understanding of payment platforms is advantageous.
Familiarity with event sourcing principles is a bonus.
Knowledge of AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
Familiarity with Rust and Go programming languages would be a plus.
