Pagero is hiering a backend developer!

Pagero’s expansion continues at even higher speed and we are now looking for developers to work on our flagship cloud service product Pagero Online. In this role, you will design and develop new services and infrastructure as well as maintain the existing Pagero Online platform which handles millions of transactions.

We are looking for new members to our development teams building services for Pagero Online. The work will involve both backend and frontend development so experience in both areas is preferable but not a requirement.

We think that you are a self-going person who enjoys solving problems and who is also eager to learn new things. We value good communication skills and that you are able to work in a team.

Role description

We have a DevOps culture where we are doing continuous delivery, developing the Microservices and architecture using Scala/Java and using technology like REST, RabbitMQ and Protobuf for communication. Docker, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and tools like Ansible and many others are also part of the development and production environment. You will take part in system-level design, write appropriate automated tests for everything you build and do knowledge sharing for what you have developed. You are curious and love to learn about new trends and techniques and how they can help us to increase the value of our products to our customers.

Responsibilities would include

- Driving the continuous improvements of our existing codebase by participating in code reviews, refactoring legacy code, and measuring code coverage and performance.
- Testing and taking responsibility for the quality of the code.
- Collaborating closely with all members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to.


Minimum Qualifications

- Fluent in both spoken and written Swedish
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- Previous experience from working with JAVA


Desired Qualifications

- Previous experience from working with DevOps
- Previous experience from working with Scala
- Knowledge of Functional Programming
- Previous experience of working with Full Stack development
- Previous experience of working with Docker
- Previous experience of installing and maintenance of microservices architecture such as: - REST
- RabbitMQ
- Protobuf-based communication

I samband med din roll som utvecklare på Pagero kommer du att få gå Xameras Talangprogram under ett års tid. Talangprogrammet hos Xamera har två ben att stå på - ett personligt och ett tekniskt. I den personliga delen kommer du att få reflektera över dig själv, hur du arbetar i grupp, hur du hanterar konflikter, ledarskap och gruppdynamik m.m. I den tekniska delen kommer du att få lära dig mer om till exempel AI, hur du skriver hållbar kod, vad säker programvara innebär m.m. Under tiden du går talangprogrammet kommer du att arbeta heltid hos Pagero.
