In PDU CDS (Compute & Digital Silicon), the RAN Compute Hardware & Execution Environment SW organization (RCHE) is responsible for design and maintenance of Digital Baseband Units in the Ericsson Radio System. Major development activities are ongoing to enable 5G, cloud execution, and Internet of Things.
We are looking for an experienced embedded Linux developer with experiences from SW design in Linux environments and/or HW near design such as development of device drivers. You will be working with a small proficient team of senior developers with many years of experience in the area. Your responsibilities will include development of user space drivers, daemons and utility programs as well as integration of third party products.
Main tasks:
Work in all product lifecycles from early studies to product design and maintenance of Execution Environment SW
Participate in pre-studies for design/features objects
Design and drive efficient solutions based on product requirements
Represent Execution environment module in technical forums
Support development teams with technical expertise
Participate in predevelopment projects
Work closely with product guardian group in defining and driving improvements

Qualifications:
Excellent software development experience
Previous experience working with low level platform software
Excellent C programming skills
Good SW Integration, verification, and troubleshooting skills
Good understanding of CPU and DSP architectures
Good understanding of common Linux development tools such as git, GNU Make, GCC, and gdb
Good skills in English
Both self-driven and able to work in teams
