Battery Algorithm Developer

Arbetsbeskrivning

We are looking for a Battery Engineer for our client in Jönköping.
The task is the development, not the implementation of already well-defined algorithms. This means working with battery cell models and numerical mathematical methods such as those used in control theory. This is not a standard embedded software task, the focus is on the concepts and theories of battery diagnostics and management.
Specific tasks:
Create and integrate models, define algorithms, simulate and evaluate the performance of algorithms throughout the life of the product.
Guide experiments to develop optimal test procedures (at cell, module, and pack level) to extract the information to support model calibration and continuously improve algorithm accuracy.
Review academic literature of lithium ion battery cells to support advancement of our algorithms.

Required skills
Ph.D. or M.Sc. in suitable engineering or science discipline (mechanical, electrical, materials, mathematics, physics, chemistry)
Experience with modelling of lithium ion battery cells
Experience with battery algorithm design
Knowledge in linear system analysis and estimation algorithm design
Capability to analyze algorithm performance in Matlab/Simulink
Basic experience, understanding, and intuition for the physics and electrochemistry of lithium ion battery cells
Experience in specifying or executing tests on battery cells and packs in a laboratory environment is a plus.
