Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you want to join and drive the shift to a sustainable transport system?

Scania’s purpose is to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system, creating a world of mobility that is better for business, society and the environment. For the transport system to become sustainable, it must be rapidly decarbonised – and that depends in large part on drastically ramping up the use of electric vehicles. Over the coming years, we will thus develop a range of electrified vehicles including battery solutions with customer value in focus.

In order to deliver on this commitment, we are now looking for a battery cell development engineer to strengthen our cell development team on the mission to provide premium battery cell solutions for Scania's trucks and buses as well as the other brands in the Traton group that we cooperate with.

The group's scope is engineering of battery cells in terms of battery cell specification, analysis of battery and vehicle test data as well battery simulation from cell to system level. We work in all phases of research and development from research projects and early investigations to product development and product follow-up.

Together with your colleagues, you specify cell requirements in terms of safety, performance, life and quality based on vehicle and customer demands. You cooperate closely with our cell suppliers and follow up the cell development and production at the suppliers. You also plan, specify and follow up the internal test and validation.

We work in an agile environment. In cross-functional agile teams, you work closely with colleagues from other disciplines to deliver optimal cell integration and battery system performance. The cell development work also involves collaboration with other parts of the company such as purchasing, production, sales & marketing and aftermarket. In addition, we cooperate cross-brand within the Traton group.

In the cell development group, you are part of a highly motivated and solution-focused team of competent engineers. We work actively with improving our methods on a continuous basis and have a culture that welcomes new ideas and approaches.
