Battery Cell Simulation Group Manager

Responsibilities:
Lead a team of highly skilled and experienced battery cell simulation engineers.
Build a strong ESS and Cell simulation area, integrating it into the system design and product lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with other Cell and ESS Teams globally to strengthen modeling and simulation capabilities for a world-class ESS system.
Lead the global cell modeling and simulation engineering networks and make technical decisions from early concepts to product improvements.
Foster cross-functional alignment with internal and external stakeholders regarding battery cell simulations.
Be an accessible and positive leader, driving technology and people development.
Drive research and development activities with university partners.

Required Skills:
Deep understanding of LIB cell simulation and modeling tools (COMSOL, Ansys, Star CCM+, Python, MATLAB, Simulink, etc.).
Experience in empirical cell testing to bridge the gap between simulated and experimental results throughout the battery development process.
Effective development of components with complex system integration.
Familiarity and proficiency in working with OEM or battery cell supplier development processes.
Strong leadership experience with a focus on developing team members and continually improving leadership approaches.
Ability to drive changes and enhance the team's modeling capabilities, work processes, and technical knowledge.

Qualifications for Success:
Ambitious, energetic, and communicative leader with an entrepreneurial mindset.
MSc. in Physics, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Material Science, or a related field (PhD is a merit).
Minimum 6 years of experience in battery cell modeling and simulations within OEM, supplier product development, automotive, or similar industries.
Passionate and committed to cell simulation engineering, eager to learn and expand skills in battery technology and emerging approaches.
Agile thinker who can see the big picture, identify objectives, set priorities, and support teams by removing obstacles.
Result-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset for work processes.
Effective communicator with the ability to address individuals and groups at different levels in the organization.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
