We are looking for you who have a deep knowledge and previous experience within the Battery Cell Supply Chain. The rapid transformation and new market environment have fostered a new way of working within the battery value chain challenging our current ways of working in both the internal and external ecosystem. As the Battery Cell - Supply Chain Business Specialist, you will have a highly strategic role in the battery ecosystem and be at the heart of this transformation journey. What will you work with as a Battery Cell - Supply Chain Business Specialist?


You will, as a key member of the battery purchasing team define the segment strategy for the battery cell supply chain. To enable this, you will work in strong collaboration with the buyer network for battery raw material, active material, battery cells and recycling activities as well as the Mariestad project team and the cross functional colleagues. You will also have a key role in challenging our current way of working and identifying opportunities to excel our strategic position in the battery cell supply chain. That means e.g.:
Develop and lead the purchasing segment strategy and coordinate the buyer network for the battery cell supply chain as well as leading the implementation in strong collaboration with the purchasing team
Identify ways of working and lead the internal cross-functional governance for the battery cell supply chain ecosystem, including e.g. battery raw material, active material, other cell components, battery cells and recycling activities
Define and enable activities in the full battery cell supply chain covering the full QDCF-TSR (quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability & risk): e.g., enable and establish partnerships, identify sustainability activities, and work with total cost optimization
Prepare and develop the internal and external way of working in the battery cell supply chain ecosystem to enable the Volvo Group strategy
Ensure strong and efficient collaboration within a large internal and external network and work in close collaboration with the Mariestad project team and cross functional colleagues
Build and maintain the expertise and strategic understanding of the battery cell supply chain: e.g., identifying market trends, understanding the potential constraints in global capacity in the full tier N network, identify new technologies, new business models etc.

You are a purchasing professional with excellent business acumen and extensive experience in the battery cell supply chain and preferable within the area of automotive
You have an adequate academic education
