JOB DESCRIPTION:
Heart Aerospace was founded in 2018 with the aim to develop an electrified regional flight aircraft. The company has their R&D team located in Säve and will be building a production plant next to the airstrip in the future. Everything from idea to implementation and future full-scale production is and will be done in-house at the Säve plant.
The company currently consists of over 100 employees and they are aiming to grow continuously in the coming years with financing secured thanks to investments from several different partners such as United Airlines and Breakthrough Energy Ventures. Most of the current employees are specialists within different aerospace segments that have travelled from all over the world to become part of this amazing project. It is a truly international setting with 23 different nationalities and a welcoming company culture where you will be able to learn from highly skilled colleagues. You will be given responsibility and room to raise ideas as well as testing and implementing those that have potential.
You will be a part of the team working with the Electrical Systems, responsible for developing the energy storage, primary and secondary power distribution systems. This will be a broad role covering design, analysis, testing and implementation.

Main responsibilities
You will work with the inboard Battery Charging System and support the development of the offboard chargers, with the possibility to work with the internal electronics of the airplane, depending on your skills and previous experiences.
Work with designing the systems using MATLAB
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Required Skills
BSc or MSc in electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar programmes involving embedded development and modelling/simulation
Good knowledge of MATLAB
General and genuine interest in technology
Prior technical hobby projects or relevant work experience to present
Excellent communications skills in English, both written and spoken
Nice-to-have
Projects related to Aerospace Engineering

ABOUT THE CLIENT COMPANY:
Studies have shown that by 2040 all regional flights will be electric and Heart Aerospace are spearheading the change. The goal is to have the ES-19 model enter into service by 2026 and it will be able to take 19 passengers and cargo on 400km range flights.
