Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Dedicated to a sustainable future
The electrification trend within the automotive business is moving rapidly. For P&L this means that we need to prepare for ramping up production of electrical vehicles and help Scania become more sustainable. One major component in an electrical vehicle is the battery. Therefore we are investing in production lines for Battery Production.

For us within the Battery Production Unit it is important to secure a product introduction according to Scanias principles and core values. In order to do so we are currently installing a pre series line for the next generation of batteries. Next generation batteries are developed in close collaboration with R&D and machine suppliers. The team is expanding and we are now looking for a product development coordinator to lead the product introduction activities together with the project teams. We are looking for a flexible team player, that is dedicated to a sustainable future.

Vacant position
Product development coordinator for preparation of battery modules and battery packs.

We are looking for one product development coordinator to be part of our team and take lead in the product introduction for all products in the battery production. You will be a key player in the collaboration between engineering and R&D design team. As a coordinator it will be important to understand how product and process demands interact, how our production is built up and how different changes in the design affects the assembly and production flow.

You will be responsible to plan and set up the work to introduce product changes into the production environment.

Your profile
In order to succeed in the role We believe you as a person should be solution oriented, communicative and structured. You need to have the ability to adapt between detail orientation and holistic perspective. Interpersonal skills are highly valued.

Scania Technician, Bachelor or Master of Science degree, preferably within production or design. You should have at least 5 years of experience from Product engineering, product introductions or similar work experience. Knowledge of Scania’s product development process and its tools/systems are essential as well as a good standard of spoken and written Swedish and English.

Leadership skills are necessary since the foundation of the coordinator role is to lead our engineering teams into a successful product introduction.

You will achieve
a wide connection network within P&L as well as within several other functions at Scania. You will work with several other units as well as outside parties and be asked to present material for management teams on all levels of the company. Furthermore you will be part of a new team exploring a new field within Scania production and logistics.
