Being part of Battery Recycling team
We are a function within Volvo Energy, Battery Industrialization and Logistics that is setting the scene for recycling of all used batteries of the Volvo Group and all battery material waste from our Mariestad Cell Gigafactory to be. We have circularity in our DNA. We orchestrate the work between functions, maintain relevant internal services and appropriate external partnerships to fulfill our mission. We communicate broadly to secure proper knowledge, involvement and recognition of our colleagues and counterparts. We monitor and optimize operational, environmental, and financial performances of our recycling systems.
What are we looking for in this specific role?
We are now looking for a Battery Recycling Business and Process Analyst, this is a new position in Volvo Energy with the intention to contribute to the battery recycling journey of the Volvo Group. The Recycling Business and Process Analyst will bring expertise in lithium-ion battery recycling processes and facilities as well as manage data analytics.

We offer an exciting opportunity, contributing to unique program in the Volvo Group long history – the launch of a battery cell manufacturing plant, also called gigafactory. We expect you to be as passionate as we are.
Other responsibilities will among others include:
Bring expertise in lithium-ion battery recycling processes, associated equipment and tooling, space needed, efficiency, emissions, cost/revenue.
Create and manage data analytics about the recycling of manufacturing waste from Mariestad battery cell plant.
Connect knowledge of the battery recycling industry with actors along the battery value chain (PCAM, CAM, cell manufacturers), enabling a close loop set up.

Qualifications likely required to be successful
University degree in industrial engineering or chemistry or similar
Evolving in the lithium-ion battery recycling industry
Strong communication ability, enabling trustworthy relationship with your peers in a cross-functional environment
Comfortable in using calculation models, analyzing large amount of data and interpreting key findings… with keeping in mind “If you can’t explain it to a six-year-old, then you don’t understand it yourself” A. Einstein
Willingness to pave the way in a structured but agile manner
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Able to travel frequently within Sweden (Skövde and Mariestad)
The location for this position will be in Gothenburg, Sweden.
