Battery Technical Project Manager
Husqvarna Group is a global leading producer of outdoor power products and innovative solutions for forest, park and garden care. We are on an electrification journey where our mission is to put more non-fossil power in the hands of our customers to enable them to enjoy their work.
You will be in the absolute center of electrification as the leader of battery projects with high complexity.
About the team
The Husqvarna Battery Competence Center (BCC) is a battery development expert team serving the Husqvarna Group with battery and charger solutions. The team is located in four sites, both in Germany and Sweden making the team international.
Generally, as the team is small but a full-fledged vertically integrated battery design and industrialization team, any member of the team will have the opportunity to step outside the ordinary role and help colleagues in their respective domains. This is also a great chance to learn all aspects of battery design and deployment and to influence how we in the BCC operates, both internally and externally.
Your mission and responsibilities
This is a high-profile role with an immediate impact on the launches of our product and services. We are looking for you that are ready to take fully responsible for assuring the success of our battery development projects. To be successful you will need to master all project management knowledge areas. Focus will shift between different functions and levels of detail throughout the project, always providing excellent leadership of the team.
Areas of responsibilities:
- Plan and lead all high-level activities throughout the projects from initiation to closure.
- Report status, formulate recommendations and guide Steering Committees and senior management through complex decisions ensuring maximum support for projects.
- Work proactively with all relevant stakeholders.
- Formulate and manage solutions to deviations of scope together with your team.
Who are you?
To enjoy the role of the battery project manager, we see that you have achieved expert level in project management with minimum 7 years of experience of running complex projects and is aspiring to approach and ultimately master the heart in the electrification journey that the world has embarked on – the battery.
If you have experience in battery technology/development it is advantageous – experience with hybrid (HW/SW and mechanical development) is a must. Essential is however the willingness to learn – this is one of Husqvarna groups most dynamic environment, both from a technology perspective and from an organizational perspective.
You are a highly experienced and driven problem solver who always looks for solutions with a positive approach. To really enjoy the role, it is important that you are analytical and can boil down complex issues to the essential. You are, of course, well organized and thorough with the ability to regularly shift focus from a detailed level to high level perspective.
You probably have a university degree in relevant area, project management certifications is advantageous. We see that you have relevant experience from all project knowledge areas such as managing teams, planning, budgeting, financial follow-up, risk management etc.
As we are a global organization you also have excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken. Speaking/reading Swedish or German is an advantage.
Location Huskvarna, at Husqvarna we use a hybrid working model.
