Battery Test Engineer

This is an opportunity to join our growing high voltage team and stay ahead of the curve in a very competitive E-mobility - developing ground-breaking technology.

We are now looking to expand the team with skilled and experienced Battery Test Engineer.

Responsibilities

Writing test plans for validation and qualification test activities for li-ion cells and high voltage batteries (>800VDC)

Creating detailed reports for performed test activities

Ensuring integrity of the test setup and the data obtained from the tests

Performing charge and discharge cycles on li-ion cells and high voltage batteries using cell/battery cycling equipment and climatic chambers

Performing destructive mechanical tests on li-ion cells

Characterizing li-ion cells in terms of electrical aspects with a defined test plan

Performing performance tests (drive cycle etc.) on high voltage li-ion batteries

Driving the design and assembly of cell and battery test fixtures

Supporting the design team with the development of estimation algorithms

Supporting homologation team with creating test plans

Supporting homologation test activities on third party test centers


Need to have

- Fundamental knowledge on behavior and safety aspects of li-ion cells
- Fundamental knowledge on high voltage systems, preferably on high voltage batteries
- Hands-on experience with battery test equipment (electrical and environmental)
