We are now looking for a highly motivated and creative Test Engineer to strengthen our growing battery testing team.
About
The battery is the core component of an electrified vehicle, it must give the premium properties that our customers have the right to expect from Scania. Our team, Battery pack and vehicle testing, is responsible for testing the energy storage on the scale from complete packs to full vehicle. We plan and execute tests and analyze results in order to ensure that the batteries fulfill the requirements we need to achieve to continue be a leader within commercial vehicles. The tests include functional and performance tests as well as safety and abuse. The majority of the testing is performed in-house in our new state-of-the-art battery lab.
Your profile
You are a driven and analytical person with experience in data analysis and from testing in rigs or vehicles. You understand the nature of experimental work and enjoy working with hardware with a strong understanding about the underlying physics that you are testing. The test objects, both the packs and the vehicles are highly complex with a lot of built-in intelligence and diagnostics so understanding of embedded systems is of merit.
• MSc or PhD within vehicle, mechanical or electrical engineering or other relevant discipline
• Experience from advanced data analysis and data visualization is meriting, preferably in Matlab or Python
• Experience from embedded systems and on-vehicle communication protocols(ex CAN) is meriting
• Good knowledge of English is a requirement, knowledge of Swedish and German is meriting
Your tasks
As a test engineer and data analyst in this team, the main tasks include designing and planning tests, writing test scripts, supporting or performing the execution of the tests, analyzing test results and writing reports. Processing, analysis and quality assurance of data is an important part of the role, the main working tool is Matlab. The role includes close cooperation within the team and with laboratory staff members as well as other test stakeholders. Together with your colleagues you have the possibility to influence the team's processes and deliveries.
