With a growing demand for behavioral science and social innovation towards creating a sustainable energy future, we are looking for the right candidates to join our Social Innovation team.

WHY?
The transition to a more sustainable energy system requires a fundamentally new approach to engage the end-customer as well as various relevant stakeholders as an integral part of the energy value chain. The customer is no longer just a recipient and user of energy, but also a potential producer, storage provider and flexibility agent. At the other end of the value chain, the green transition requires adaption from energy sector stakeholders and the building of new skills.

WHO?
Our ideal candidate will have a background in social psychology or user experience design. They will have experience bridging theoretical concepts related to consumer behaviour and societal dynamics with real-work, actionable applications. This includes designing and implementing concrete strategies to engage citizens, communities, market actors and governance structures in relation to energy use and the design of energy systems.

WHAT?
We are hiring for the role of Behavioural Scientist. The successful candidate will join our team in Jystrup, Denmark, Helsinki, Finland or Halden, Norway. Please indicate your preferred place of work in the application.
The primary responsibility of the role will be to serve as the social science expert on recently won EU projects. In practice, this means working with large multi-disciplinary partners located across Europe on innovative research and development initiatives related to sustainability topics.

The positions will consist of:
-Conducting primary research (e.g. focus groups, workshops, surveys, interviews, user testing) together with internal teams and external partners
-Synthesizing quantitative and qualitative findings into actionable insights used to inform engagement actions, product/service design, and policy
-Designing and implementing concrete activities to engage stakeholders, end-users, and communities (e.g. living labs, co-creation workshops, strategic communications)
-Producing both academic articles and concise, easy-to-understand written and visual deliverables
-Developing behavioural models and frameworks related to topics such as behaviour change, decision-making, user acceptance, and governance
-Project management and report writing in international projects
-Facilitating collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
-Regularly travelling across Europe for conferences, workshops, meetings, etc.

The best combination of experiences, skills and background is:
-A MSc or PhD degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology or other relevant social scientific degree.
-We prefer that you have 2-5 years of experience working in areas related to energy, sustainability and/or consumer insights. New graduates are also welcome to apply.
-Experience conducting primary research (e.g. moderating focus groups, designing surveys, one-on-one interviews) with various stakeholder groups
-Experience designing co-creation activities with community/citizen/end users/etc.
-Experience with project management tasks (e.g. setting timelines, allocating resources, establishing milestones)
-Experience working on EU-funded research and development projects (e.g. H2020, Horizon Europe)
-The ability to understand the big picture and communicate the necessary information to various audiences
-The ability to manage large initiatives with various teams and stakeholders
-Excellent written and spoken English is a must. Professional knowledge of other languages is also an advantage
-Knowledge of software of tools for facilitating workshops, activities etc. is also beneficial, but not required

-Competitive salary and employee benefits. The salary is dependent on the country, experience and seniority level, but will normally be in the range between ?4,000-?6,000/month.
