Sensors, meters, control valves and damper actuators make up the company's core business. Belimo employs approximately 1,900 people and has been listed on the Swiss Exchange (SIX) since 1995.

Belimo is now looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM Nordics) to develop and lead the strategic growth initiative for sensors and meters in the Nordic region (Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland & Denmark).



Job description

The BDM Nordics will develop and lead strategic initiatives and pro-actively implement activities in the Nordic region. The main focus of the role is to generate growth in the Nordics through the planning and execution of the Nordic region's specific commercial strategy. In addition, the role requires interfacing with internal functions both on local and on corporate level in Switzerland.

The BDM Nordics will be a member of the Belimo Nordic Team and report to the Regional Director Belimo Nordics / Managing Director Belimo Sweden (solid line) and HQ Product Management in Switzerland (dotted line).

The role is located either in Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden or Helsinki, Finland.



Your responsibilities

* Based on group strategic initiatives and in coordination with the Nordic Management Team develop and implement regional strategic and operational plans to significantly gain market shares in targeted verticals, applications and products, ensuring core growth and consistent delivery of financial targets.
* Translate strategy into actionable tactics in coordination with the subsidiaries in the Nordics.
* Keep the subsidiaries up to date (training programs etc.) with market trends, competitive landscape and technologies for targeted verticals, applications and products.
* In coordination with Nordic subsidiaries evaluate optimum sales/distribution channels for the targeted verticals, applications and products.
* Carry out specific business studies on request of the M&I (Markets & Innovation) or the Nordic management.
* Support in the annual regional Belimo business plan (strategy and operational plan) process.
* As part of the Belimo team, take an active role in promoting a culture of trust and accountability.



Your profile

* Strong organizational, written, and verbal communications skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of company structure
* Computer/IT literacy including the capability to learn new systems

Your experiences

* Minimum bachelor's degree (preferable in Engineering) or equivalent experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, product management and/or sales organizations, preferably in HVAC industry.
* Experience of sensors and meters including district heating and heating/cooling applications in HVAC is considered as a strong advantage.
* Minimum 3 years of BDM project management experience, preferably in an international business environment
* Excellent skills in Swedish and/or Norwegian and English. Finnish language is a plus
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate through business management software
* Must be able to travel up to 50% (mainly in the Nordic countries) and have a valid driver's license
* Experience of CRM (MS Dynamics) and SAP is a plus
