BI Developer

Starbreeze is looking for a BI developer with experience in Big Data technologies to join our Game Analytics team with a goal of understanding our players and improving their experience within our products.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in developing complex transformation processes with an emphasis on reliability and performance. The candidate will work closely with analytics and business units to make sure that the data is enriched and available.

Main Responsibilities

- ETL development – ownership of data transformation throughout the pipeline,
- Warehouse Design and Development – collaborate with analysts and business units to make sure that they receive data in a desired format and at a desired speed.
- Continuous optimization of data pipeline
- Assist in the development of deployment automation.
- Deliver near-real time data for fast insight generation

To be successful in this position you have:

- 5+ years of work experience with ETL, Data Modeling, and Business Intelligence big data architectures.
- Expert in at least one SQL language.
- Experience developing and managing data warehouses on a terabyte or petabyte scale.
- Deep understanding of advanced data warehousing concepts and track record of applying these concepts on the job.
- Ability to manage numerous requests concurrently and strategically, prioritizing when necessary.
- Good communication skills.
- Dynamic team player.

Preferred:

- Experience with Amazon Redshift or Snowflake
- Experience with Tableau administration.
- Experience in working with data APIs.
- Knowledge of the Video Game Industry and video games.
