BI Developer & Analyst

We, Novare Potential, are looking for a BI Developer & Analyst to work as a consultant through us at a company in Stockholm.



Key responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and maintain business intelligence data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
Provide input/guidance on how to improve/update EDW architecture to be scalable/flexible to accommodate additional metrics/requirements for future sprints
Enable optimal advantages for business stakeholders on performance KPIs by delivering BI solutions to business users
Drive the logical and physical design of semantic layer databases to meet the business intelligence needs.
Carry out project based or ad-hoc analysis to solve complex business problems.
Strive to continuously optimize the business features on the BI solutions by collaboratively supporting the developers and conveying key messages collected from business stakeholders
Build dashboards, identify new and track key metrics to closely monitor team’s performance and identify quick and long-term opportunities for improvements


Key requirements:

4 years of experience as a BI Developer, minimum 2 years developing and building visualizations using Power BI Service, SSAS Tabular Models, or Tableau.

Should be able to define model with calculated columns, measures, calculated tables using DAX, clean and transform data with the Query Editor.
Analytical mindset paired with an affinity for BI technologies, which are daily used for analysis, visualization, and reporting of data-based business topics
Ability to work independently, show initiative, and complete tasks with minimal oversight
Basic knowledge / database programming experience on SQL Server or IBM.
Knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence, analytics, and data visualization best practices.
Solid prior working experience in Agile environment.


Preferable skills (Big bonus if you have):

Prior experience in Agile tools such as JIRA
Prior experience in EDW
Strong finance skills and basic understanding of IFRS
Prior experience in Cargo & Logistics.
Strong communication skills in Arabic (written/verbal)
