The Advanced Analytics & Automation group is responsible for establishing the future IT landscape that will be the foundation for PostNord' s continued data driven journey. PostNord is the leader of logistics and postal services in the Nordics and as a part of the IT organisation, we support a variety of different PostNord stakeholders in a multitude of areas using our Azure-based Data Platform. Power BI is our preferred data visualization tool and we now need to expand our team with you as BI Specialist. It is our goal to create scalable solutions to support the development of valuable data solutions and address a broad range of use cases from logistics operations, self-service reporting and advanced analytics for companywide innovation and transformation initiatives.



Job duties as BI Specialist

* Work in a agile team to deliver the best possible data solutions for PostNord
* Work together with the business users to design the best possible solution for their needs in diverse business areas such as Finance, Customer Service and HR.
* Locate and analyse the relevant data and create informative visuals and reports.
* Understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources.
* Develop and design visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards.
* Work with the rest of the team to improve communication, collaboration, and deliveries.
* Document the solutions produced



Requirements as BI Specialist

* Develop reports and dashboards yourself (we use Power BI as our main data visualization tool)
* Knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
* Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate data into informative visuals and reports.
* Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation. Building Analysis Services reporting models.
* You have worked as a BI developer in an agile team before.



Meritorious competences as BI Specialist

* Able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
* Knowledge and skills for secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, etc.
* Able to implement row level security on data and understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
* Experience working with ETL, connecting to data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence use.
* Knowledge about design and UX
* Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set.
* Ability to support and train self-service users from the business.



You will need a collaborative delivery approach to be successful as BI Developer. We prefer to use Agile, and our unit applies a pragmatic approach to SAFe to resolve dependencies and set the pace for development, but we choose the appropriate approach for the product and team. As BI Specialist at PostNord, you will not only develop reports and dashboard yourself (we use Power BI as our main data visualization tool), but also collaborate closely with our data platform- and domain teams. As BI Developer you will interact directly with stakeholders from the business, as well as with our scrum master and product owner, and line managers to design and define the competencies, processes and technology needed to meet the business analytical requirements.



Your profile as BI Specialist

You have worked as a BI developer in an agile team before. It is important that you as BI Specialist like to remain hands on, and also be able to work directly with our business stakeholders. As a person you are curious to learn and evolve your skill set in accordance with the state-of-the-art pace in the domain that you work in. As BI Developer have experience working in an agile organization where you have taken a leading part in the team's refinement and development.
