Technical Direction division at ALTEN has a need to strenghten the workpackage bid management and pre-sales team with a Bid Manager. ALTEN Technical Direction is an organization that has the end-to-end responsibility for all inhouse operations from pre-sales to final delivery. The division consist of Bid Managers, Business Development Managers and Delivery Managers. We are now seeking to strengthen our sales capabilities for inhouse work packages for Engineering. The team consist currently of 7 people.
ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
This is a possibility to become a member of our Business Development team in Stockholm or Västerås, the team is responsible for sales and offering of inhouse projects for ALTEN’s Engineering customers. We are looking for a person with solid experience of either Mechanical Engineering or Embedded Systems development. Your tasks will be to lead and coordinate work packages quotations of various complexity and size. You will be the main responsible for leading Bid teams consisting of Business Managers, Delivery Managers, and technical experts through work package quotation processes, leading to winning offers.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Lead and coordinate work package bid work at Technical Direction Engineering
Responsible for commercial offers and to secure that these are within the frames set by the Business Unit regarding service area, profitability, and risk.
Secure communication both internally within ALTEN and externally to clients, by participating in Q&A meetings and offer presentations.
Support Business Development Managers and Business Managers with sales material, reference cases and in customer meetings for additional sales of work packages.
Contribute to sales and quotation processes being developed and kept up to date
REQUIREMENT
MSc in relevant engineering discipline
5+ years of experience from Automotive or other relevant industry domain in engineering or embedded systems.
Project Manager experience.
Structured personality with ability to follow set processes and work towards deadlines.
Have a interest in sales and business acumen.
